Hello, I’m Jeff Klinger. This is my story.
Medicare is my passion and my calling.
My previous career was as a Chief Electrical Engineer for 30 years. Not your typical engineer I enjoyed leading teams and helping my team be successful. It is that technical background and attention to detail that I bring to my clients in the health insurance world. More specifically, everyone’s long term plan is unique when it comes to Medicare.
As I have helped my clients unravel their healthcare and insurance needs, I have learned a lot about what different people need from Medicare, and the more I learned, the more I realized that Medicare is a wonderful program… IF you make good informed choices.
Being a people person and a good communicator. I make complex programs like Medicare clear to anyone. I know what questions to ask to understand a person’s Medicare coverage needs along with their individual risk tolerances so we can work together to choose the best Medicare solution.
Finally, I take a lot of pride in understanding not only the Medicare system, but also the idiosyncrasies of each plan and insurer plus how they work in the real world and not just what they promise.
My Credentials
I’ve been a Medicare broker since 2014.
To maintain that designation, each year I go through many hours of training and testing each year to obtain and maintain:
- Illinois and Federal Health Insurance licensing (license numbers are available upon request)
- National AHIP Certification
- Certifications with nearly all the Medicare insurance providers in Illinois and Wisconsin
- My interactions with Medicare Eligible people over the years have allowed me to gain valuable real world experience which is as important as the certifications

There are than 50 insurance companies in Illinois participate in the Medicare program. As a Medicare broker, I don’t work for any of them. I work for you and all my clients to make sure each person has the ideal, most cost-effective Medicare coverage and plan to meet their unique needs—at the outset and in future years.
I believe in developing a long-term relationship with my you my client. I am here to be your advocate with your insurance company. I don’t simply write a policy and then leave you to fend for yourself at the mercy of their call center.
There is never any cost to you for my services. Ever! I receive a Medicare-mandated payment from whichever insurer you end up working with.

The difference is important.
As a broker, I work for you – NOT the many companies in Illinois/Wisconsin I have access to represent.
Your cost is the same whether you figure it out for yourself or have a broker help you navigate the storm on the internet, your mailbox and/or the phone calls you’re probably getting.

- I will visit with you every year if needed to make sure your prescription plan is still the best option for you.
- I will get to know you and your personal situation more in depth than most other brokers or agents.
- I will be available for you after I write your policy.
